After graduating high school, he attended Louisiana State University for one year then transferred to Florida State University where he graduated and swam collegiately at both schools.

After graduating college, he worked for his parents at their printing shop then decided to attend law school because his cousin, an attorney, possessed a tremendous drive and tenacity to help others, and he wanted to emulate just that.

Personal Life

He remains an active swimmer and a member of the New Albany Master’s Swim Team. Even at the age of 56, he is a nationally ranked swimmer and competes at the U.S. Masters National Swim Meets each year, and has been a member of 2 National Championship relay at the National Meet in 2016 & 2017.

The most important part of his life, however, is family. Attorney Morris has been married for 23 years and has two children. His oldest daughter, who is now in college, participated in volleyball and swimming during her high school years and his youngest daughter has been a competitive dancer for 8 years.
